What are you going to do?
As Manager Supply Chain, you are responsible for managing the purchasing, transport and warehouse & shipping departments. You will optimise work processes and streamline the flow of goods to ensure delivery reliability. Together with your team, you work on strategic plans and process improvements that increase efficiency within the company. You have a versatile position in which you will be involved both strategically and operationally in day-to-day operations.
Your main tasks are:
- Drafting, evaluating and optimising the continuous improvement policy with a focus on quality, efficiency and procedures;
- Implementing changes within the Supply Chain department and translating strategies into concrete action plans;
- Supervise, coach and develop your team in realising process improvements;
- Contributing operationally (about 50% of your time) by providing support in international sourcing and outsourcing;
- Preparation of strategic Supply Chain reports in cooperation with the production department;
- Procurement of semi-finished and finished products, striving for the best conditions in terms of price, quality and delivery time;
- Selecting and maintaining contacts with suppliers, focusing on logistics performance, quality, cost reduction and delivery reliability;
- Actively contribute to sustainability targets;
Who are you?
We are looking for a Manager Supply Chain who combines decisiveness with a collegial and solution-oriented attitude. You know how to manage and inspire people to achieve ambitious goals together. Furthermore, you bring the following:
- A completed HBO education in a technical direction, e.g. mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or process engineering;
- Several years of experience in an international purchasing and outsourcing environment, preferably within a similar industry;
- Knowledge of ERP systems and strong administrative skills;
- Stress-resistant, with the ability to prioritise and act effectively under pressure;
- Creative in finding solutions and coming up with new ideas to improve processes;
- Leadership qualities with the ability to translate strategies into concrete actions and results;
- Good communication skills in both Dutch, English and German
